Hi, I’m Rachel. I’m a mum, a nurse and a wife. I spend my spare time bringing a new sense of life and purpose to old, dated, mismatched and inherited furniture. I love knowing that through my efforts, I am helping reduce needless waste both from discarding perfectly good furniture pieces and from the cost of replacing them. They rarely make furniture with the quality, solid timber and craftsmanship as was done in the past. Particleboards, plastic/enamel coatings and process-line staple gun assembly have reduced durability and support the throwaway culture. I am driven to help people feel that sense of peace and belonging that makes being at home so special, at prices that anyone can afford.
It’s no secret that furniture made in days gone by is often sturdier, made with real, often highly sought after timber, beautifully designed and the result of the work of local craftsmen.
These pieces deserve to be treasured, appreciated and given a new lease on life.
